Sometimes it is the simple things that lead one to select a course. There are plenty of reasons why I could have selected Mississippi State’s golf course; Golf Digest has tabbed it the top college course in the South and it’s a three time mention in their annual “places to play” list.
However what struck me when reading about it was this simple sentence “It is rare to play the MSU Golf Course and not use every club in your bag.” I simply love the idea that that is on the mind of the course. I’m a fan of using all your shots on a course, not just blasting off and hitting a 9 or wedge (or, in my case 2 or three of them) into the green.
Mississippi is day 13 and with my early start time, I’m hoping for something like this to begin my experience (minus the cart, I’m a walker wherever possible)!
