We’re really getting down to business now, and with that, I’m going to start profiling (briefly) the courses I’ll be playing. For the most part. I’m not going to list these in any particular order; however, the first club to confirm for my trip was also one of my top five “must plays” so am I going to start with them.
With a tag line of “64 million years in the making” Fossil Trace caught my attention from the start. Dinosaur fossil footprints and old mining equipment line the fairways, but this course is anything but a gimmick. You don’t have to wait to have your breath taken away, just look at the approach to the first green:
Located in Golden Colorado, Fossil Trace will be the 44th stop on our tour. Not quite last and anything but least. This picture of the 12th is what put Fossil Trace on the map for me, if you have about a minute – literally, it’s 58 seconds long – check out this video of the hole.
Look for more on Fossil Trace and more course introductions soon.
PS I’d like to offer special thanks to Fossil Trace as they have offered to comp my round during my visit to Colorado.
