Course Introduction – Warren Golf Course

This introduction is a little more personal than the others. I saved it for today intentionally. My (dearly departed) mother (who’s birthday is today) comes from an Irish family, and proudly so. I remember watching Celtic games with my maternal grandmother; however, what I really remember was watching Notre Dame Fighting Irish football games with an energy and enthusiasm normally reserved for the student section.

So, when the opportunity came to play the home course of the Irish, well, there really weren’t any other options in the state of Indiana for me. As a bonus, Warren offers some terrific golf as well so I certainly won’t suffer while upholding the family pride!

The course is also going to be the host of the upcoming (2019) US Senior Open Championship (the second USGA championship event hosted at Warren). Maybe all this golf will come together for me and I can come back then!
