Hello! My name is Soren Jacobsen and this is a blog about my journey to complete a dream I have had for about 30 years. There is quite a bit more about it on the “About” page, so I won’t go into too many details here.
In short, my plan is to play 50 rounds of golf, in fifty states, in fifty days, at the age of fifty (which is happening *way* too soon for my liking!). The actual trip will happen next Spring, but the planning is underway right now (and there is a lot of it). Between now and next Spring this blog will focus on my efforts to get ready, lessons learned, etc. After that it (along with various social media platforms) will serve as a regular broadcast channel for my journey. When it is all said and done I’m planning to create a coffee table book “Fairways and Freeways” (this trip will ultimately be a blend of three of my favorite pastimes – golf, travel, and writing).
