Our second course introduction (23rd course on the trip) is Worthington Manor Golf Club in Maryland.
When scouting for courses there are a lot of things that stand out, and the national accolades, beautiful rolling hills and challenging greens of Worthington certainly grabbed my attention. I also was drawn to the fact that they had hosted so many US Open qualifiers and the demanding tee shots required on numerous holes (number 17 and 18 in particular jumped out at me).
However, what really drew me in was the simple tag line “We believe in our golf course!” As you read through their web site, this really rings true. From the commitment to quality customer service to details like the spacing of tee times this club seems truly focused on the golfers experience.
For all of these reasons, I’m very excited to partake of the Worthington experience.
