In Oklahoma, I expected more “plains golf”… not unlike Buffalo Dunes in Kansas. However, when I started looking at pictures of Cherokee Hills, this is what I saw:

Hills, and forest, and water… oh my! This looks just like my favorite course at home (except it appears more lush and has more trees). With shot-making and ball placement a premium as you “traverse tree-lined fairways, dramatic elevation changes, demanding bentgrass greens, natural rock outcroppings and babbling brooks” this course absolutely calls to me. Oklahoma and Cherokee Hills are day 9.
