Triggs Memorial is a course with some history, built in the early 30’s it is coming up on its 90’th “birthday.” As you might expect from a course in Rhode Island, it is carved from a forest (originally on a 140 acre farm) and is therefore lined with trees. The course is described as “a masterpiece of character peppered with illusions that affect strategy and course management.”
Both mature and recently updated, Triggs offers a great mix of the best of today along with architectural elements from another era. Rhode Island will be day 27 on the trip and given the size of the state, i’m hoping to actually having a little more time for sightseeing (or rest???) than most of the trip will afford.
