When you read “Players will come to understand that precision is more rewarding than power on this course” and the next sentence talks about the course playing up to 7,300 yards, you really have the makings of an interesting track. Spotted with over 150 bunkers, GreatHorse in Massachusetts fits the bill.
There’s more than bunkers; however, water and elevation changes are features of the course as well…
There’s even a semi-island green to negotiate (complete with cart-path bridge)…
One of the other things I liked in reading about GreatHorse was their efforts away from pretentiousness and their focus on a family friendly atmosphere. Their tag line of “It’s different at GreatHorse” seems to extend far beyond bunkers and precision golf shots. Day 28 will be Massachusetts.
