Course Introduction – Royal Hawaiian

“Video game golf”… that was my first thought when I saw the 12th hole at Royal Hawaiian. Followed promptly by “can that be a real picture?” It turns out it is quite real…

Of course there are other considerations that go into selecting where you are going to play in Hawaii. One of the most fun reasons I have for selecting any of my destinations on this trip is that this course was designed by “The Shark” (Greg Norman)… I’m not sure how you could pick something more appropriate for Hawaii!

It’s not all fun and game though… from the course description “This challenging course will test every club in your bag with several forced carries off the tee, bunkers bordered by railroad ties and fairways that fall off into bunkers and ravines.”

Day 50 (fifty!!) will be in Hawaii (so will days 51-54… but who’s counting), capping off this epic voyage.

Check out all of the introduced courses on our map, or, see all the course introductions in one place.

Also, for a chance to win free swag from one (or more) of these great courses I’m playing, be sure to check out this promotion… Share this (or any other) course introduction and tag Fairways & Freeways (FB: @fairwaysandfreeways T: @fnf2017 ) to be entered.
