Course Introduction – Caverns Mill

If you have been following along for many of these course introductions, you are aware of my affinity for water hazards. Truly I just cannot get enough of a course that features a great deal of water. In this way, Caverns Mill delivers!

In addition to multiple in-course water features, several holes run along the bumper boat lagoon keeping alive the dual threats of incidental splash and ambient teen noise. But Wahooz is more than just a great day on the links. Speaking of links, if you consider the lack of plentiful (living) trees, the abundant amount of water, and what *sounds* like constant wind (which is actually the noise from the nearby freeway)… this may be the purest example of a true links course this side of Scotland!

But there’s more! I’m also into interesting nods to culture and history in course design, and once again Wahooz delivers…

Quoting from their web page “You’ll love our two elaborately themed 18-hole miniature golf courses, home to the fire shooting Tiki God! Hillbilly Hollow and Caverns Mill are sure to be a challenge even to the serious golfer.” The property also features such amenities as two (2!) ropes courses and pizza by the slice.

April 1st is Wahooz and, if nothing else, it’s going to be fun!!!
